Course delivery and assessment
Learners work through the support materials and complete activities and assessments for each unit. A tutor/ assessor will also observe the learner carrying out practical tasks during their normal working hours in order to meet the requirements of each unit. The advisor/assessor will meet with the candidate in the workplace and agree the assessment and training plan for the programme. This process will include evaluating any prior skills, knowledge and existing qualifications which will be recognised in determining the planned programme. Candidates will then commence the programme and work through the comprehensive learning materials support provided, and complete activities and assessments for each unit. The advisor/assessor will support candidates with these and also oversee learners carrying out practical tasks in the workplace. This will involve regular contact, including workplace visits with the advisor/assessor throughout the programme. The duration of the programme will vary usually depending on the amount of time the candidate is able to devote to the programme. Most candidates would aim to complete the process between 4 - 12 months from the commencement of the programme.
